manufacturing Steel framing and metal studs have become one of the most cost effective methods of building homes today. But switching from wood to metal studs can be a challenge for the wood framer. A steel-framed home is a high quality home. Steel studs and joists are strong, lightweight, and made from uniform-quality material. Steel walls are straight, with square corners, and all but eliminate pops in drywall.

Housing International’s highly sophisticated developed software package is used to develop, design and is integrated into the manufacturing system on site. This software program eliminates mistakes so that all the components are engineered to exact dimensions resulting in an extraordinarily straight and exacting product. In short, faster and easier house construction that is linked-up to computerized roll formers that cut all components to exact size and punch the holes for the screws.

This easy assembly system does not require welding or cutting, which makes it easy for shipping the components in a flat packed system to remote areas or for export. Even the smallest steel member has been cut to size. It includes all fasteners necessary to erect the building and fix it to the slab or other floor system. No time is wasted to go to other suppliers for materials.

The majority of the building materials used for Housing International homes are recycled (up to 50% for steel and 96 percent for other materials such as plastics) and qualify for the U.S. Green Building Council (LEEDS).

Housing International also offers the village concept of creating jobs locally as the factories will be set up and built in targeted regions. HIC particularly lends itself to large-scale "sustainable" housing with rapid construction on-site of approximately 10 days to 2 weeks per house, fully equipped for occupancy.

Building - Nucon Steel Frame

The Series 700 Roll Former is the machine component of the NUFRAME™ system. Input data transferred directly from the design software automatically provides all the intelligence the roll former needs to produce assembly ready panels. The computer controlled, servo driven machine precisely rolls out the stud profile through seven progressive stations. Once the steel exits the roll cage and enters the tool head, the full power and value of the roll former is realized. Seven separate hydraulic functions – cut to length, web notch, swage, squash, rivet punch, electric service punch and plumbing service punch – work together to produce components completely ready for assembly. Technology refined to eliminate the need for any additional cutting, measuring or even layout!

Think that’s impressive? There’s more! Using some of the most advanced components available, all this is packaged in an easy to operate, simple to adjust, low maintenance machine. Built on a rugged frame the roll former is at home in a high volume fabrication plant or on a job site – you make the choice.
